Walked past Salisbury’s ex-SPCK shop yesterday – similarly sad, with protective screens over the windows…(should have taken a photo…)
One of the shops that was to be handed to the Brewers in 2013 IF they continued to run the establishments as Christian bookshops. Now there is an on going legal wrangle as to the ownership of the shops. Very sad in Chester especially as Living Oasis would like to obtain larger premises and this building could be the place…
I remain confused. Who has put this shop up for sale? Gotham or the SPCK?
Stupid question. SPCK put the bookshop up for sale.
The Newcastle shop is not yet up for sale although there have been enquiries about purchasing it, apparently.
In York yesterday and the former SPCK shop in Goodramgate is being re-fitted (very nicely) to be a Sue Ryder shop.
Sounds better than a Jewellery Shop.
Some clearing out of rubbish, accumulated mail etc at the Worcester shop, so let’s hope something is happening there and the premises will be back in use soon.
